In this key role, you will actively shape our company’s global procurement architecture, driving long-term competitiveness by securing optimal purchasing conditions and fostering high-impact supplier partnerships. You will lead your team to success by overseeing both strategic category management and operational project procurement, ensuring seamless delivery capabilities through proactive risk management and foresight. By designing resilient supply chains and optimizing procurement strategies, you will safeguard the business against volatility and directly contribute to our sustainable market leadership.
Your tasks:
- Strategy & Governance: Ensure the continuous development and implementation of global procurement strategies and coordinate all global sourcing activities
- Category Management: Enhance the existing category management and actively support major supplier negotiations and critical framework agreements
- Project Procurement: Ensure that all project-specific sourcing requirements are met on time, adhere to budget restrictions, and meet the highest quality standards
- Supplier Management: Oversee the entire supplier lifecycle - from identification and selection to long-term strategic development - based on cost, risk, and quality criteria
- Supplier Escalation: Act as the ultimate point of escalation for critical supply chain issues and supplier disputes to ensure business continuity
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve procurement processes and ensure comprehensive documentation and standardization
- Risk Management: Proactively identify supply chain risks and mitigate them by establishing robust second-source alternatives
- Reporting & KPIs: Maintain and optimize a global procurement reporting system, e.g. Spend Cube, track key performance indicators, and implement corrective measures when necessary
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate requirements and align procurement content across various international locations and departments
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop your team members, fostering both high performance and personal growth
